General Information:
The Rules of Golf as adopted by the United States Golf Association govern play. This information sheet, the CSGA Hard Card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf. Local Rules of the host course do not apply.
Schedule of Events:
Monday, April 29th, 2024 – Qualifying Round, 18 holes stroke play.
Qualifying Positions:
The number of players advancing to the Championship will be posted on the day of the qualifier.
Grouping & Starting Times:
Starting times begin at 7:30am from the first tee.
Practice Round:
Practice rounds are available to all players on weekdays anytime. To schedule a practice round, please call the Wallingford CC Golf Shop at (203) 284-9189. Practice rounds will cost $50 and include a cart. You may bring caddies/guests for your practice round at a cost of $50 per guest.
Registration:
Players must check in at the player registration table located in front of the golf shop upon their arrival.
Practice Range:
The practice range will be available for your use beginning at 6:30am. Please note that the range is strictly irons only. Balls are compliments of Wallingford Country Club.
Caddies & Transportation:
A player may carry his own bag, employ a caddie, or use a golf cart. While the use of a golf cart is permitted during the qualifier, the cost is not included in your entry fee. If you wish to utilize a golf cart, please check in with the Golf Shop upon your arrival. The cost of the cart will be $25 per player and must be paid in cash.
Attire:
Proper golf attire is always required by players, caddies and spectators. Shorts must be Bermuda length. Shirts must have a collar and be tucked in. Jeans of all kinds, cargo pants/shorts, tee shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Hats must be worn in a traditional manner.
Footwear:
Shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course) are prohibited during the stipulated round. Penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.
Food & Beverage:
Food and beverage, on a cash basis only, is available at the Wallingford Country Club snack shack located next to the tenth tee. Players, caddies, and spectators are responsible for any food and beverage fees incurred during their round.
Withdrawals:
You must contact the CSGA at (860) 257-4171 if you must withdraw from this qualifier. A competitor who fails to notify the CSGA of his withdrawal may be subject to disciplinary actions by the CSGA. If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00pm on Friday, April 26th, you can send your withdrawal via email to Michael Sebetic at msebetic@csgalinks.org.
